The Department of Biology also houses the National Drosophila Stock Center and FlyBase, an Internet data base for Drosophila genetics as well as the Drosophila Genomics Resource Center (DGRC). Additional biological equipment and facilities include confocal and Electron Microscope Facility, Fermentation Facility, Greenhouses and cultivation fields, a Herbarium, and a Microbiology Stock Culture Collection.
