The Bochman lab received an equipment supplement award to their NIH grant (R35 GM1333437) to fund the purchase of a Refeyn mass photometer. This instrument uses light to determine the mass of biomolecules in solution, with a dynamic range spanning ~30 kDa to 5 MDa. The equipment was recently installed in Simon Hall MSB1 and will support the lab's continuing single-molecule biochemistry efforts.
